Private Sessions

Photographs at Home, Kept Between Us

For families who want the photographs without the audience, at home, in your own time, with complete say over where the images go afterwards.

Some of the most beautiful work I do will never appear on this website.

A large part of my work is photographing families in their own homes, and many of those families would rather their images stay private. That is not a limitation to work around; it is simply how they want to be photographed, and it deserves to be taken seriously rather than negotiated with.

So the default is privacy. Your images belong to you, they are delivered to you, and they stay there unless you decide otherwise. I would rather have a quieter portfolio and families who felt genuinely comfortable in front of me.

Private by default

Your gallery is delivered to you and no one else. Nothing goes on my website, my Instagram, or anywhere public unless you have specifically told me it may.

Asking is not assuming

If there is an image I would love to share, I ask. Saying no changes nothing. Not your gallery, not your session, not how I work with you afterwards.

You can change your mind

Consent can be withdrawn at any time, even long after the shoot. Tell me and the image comes down.

No strangers in the frame

A session at home means no passers-by, no onlookers, and no one watching who wasn't invited.

These intentions are written into my privacy policy.

What a session at home actually looks like

Quieter than you are probably imagining. I arrive, we talk for a while, and I mostly wait. Children stop performing for the camera after about ten minutes, and that is usually when the session really starts.

You do not need to tidy the house, repaint anything, or move the sofa. Light from a window is the only thing that genuinely helps, and I will work with whatever your home gives me. The point is that it looks like your home. In ten years, that is the part you will be glad I kept.

Home sessions work particularly well for newborns, for toddlers who are not yet reliable in public, and for maternity sessions late in pregnancy when getting anywhere feels like a project.

I travel to all seven emirates for home sessions, not just Dubai.

What families usually want to know

Will our photos be shared on your website or Instagram?

Not unless you tell me I may. Your images are private by default and delivered only to you. If I would love to share something, I ask first. Saying no changes nothing about your session or your gallery. You can also withdraw permission later, even if you said yes at the time.

We would prefer not to be photographed in public. Is that a problem?

Not at all, and you are far from the only family who feels that way. A home session means no passers-by, no onlookers and no strangers in the background of your photographs. Many of the families I work with choose it for exactly this reason.

What do you need from us for a home session?

Very little. Natural light from a window is the only thing that genuinely helps, and I will work around whatever your space gives me. You do not need to tidy, redecorate or move furniture. The point is that it looks like your home, because that is what you will want to remember.

Do we need to be good in front of a camera?

No, and most people are convinced they aren't. I don't pose families rigidly or ask anyone to perform. I give gentle direction, then mostly stay out of the way and let you be with each other. That is where the photographs I care about come from.
